RED ROVER

HINCKLEY 48 - A CLASSIC BEAUTY

Look Familiar?  Maybe you saw her in the Mediterranean during her younger years as “Basia” when she was entertaining her owner’s guests for elaborate meals aboard.  Ships log, some original menu’s and serve ware aboard.  After the fun was over, poor Basia found herself all alone in a yard until her current love came along and infused new life (and renamed her Red Rover) into her and got her sea ready once more.  Current owner sadly seeks to find her a new home.

ACCOMMODATIONS and WALKTHROUGH

Forward Stateroom

Starting forward and aft of the anchor locker is a V-berth style stateroom with two single berths/port and starboard. There is an insert to fill in the "V" and make a traditional shared single. There is a large overhead sliding hatch in the salon to provide light and ventilation. There are shelves over and lockers under the berths. A hanging locker is aft to starboard.  To port there many small custom drawers for parts and such.

Moving aft there is a large head to port with sink, shower and large storage lockers. To starboard opposite the head is a large utility locker that currently houses a 110v microwave (2016) and toaster oven (2019) with exhaust fan.  This area is currently mid-project, to be completed this winter 2019.

Salon & Galley

To port in the salon is a U-shaped dinette.  There are shelves and a locker outboard. This table can be dropped and converted to a large double bunk with interior matching gray insert.  To starboard is a pilot berth and a double pull-out transom berth with shelves outboard, and nine large drawers under. There is a large, 2-way, overhead hatch in the salon to provide light and ventilation.

Up a step aft is the nav section to starboard and a galley to port. The galley has a two-basin sink built into the countertop.  There is a 3-burner electric stove with oven and broiler, spice rack, and loads of storage for dishes, utensils, pots and pans, dry goods, cleaning supplies etc.

Aft Cabin

The companionway is on centerline as you move aft. Access to the aft cabin is to port. This cabin has a double berth to port and a single to starboard. There are shelves with lockers outboard, with drawers and foot lockers under. There is a large opening port on the center aft bulkhead that opens into the cockpit, allowing for good airflow throughout the boat. A hanging locker is situated under.

There is a spacious head forward to starboard in this cabin with sink, shower and good storage.  Bulkheads with overhead cabinetry are finished in gloss-varnished birch. The cabin sole is teak & holly.
