All sheets and halyards lead to the cockpit. A dual-ended mainsheet on an electric winch allows adjustments from
both the cockpit and the companionway. All of this being offered for $285,000 USD.
The Hunter 49 is revered for her offshore cruising ability, luxurious accommodations, and massive amounts of
storage space for extended voyaging. With her easily handled sail configuration, she is perfect for a couple to
handle combined with all the amenities of home for entertaining, dining, or full time living aboard. Dual helm
stations provide outstanding visibility, and the sail plan is integrated with Hunter’s trademark cockpit traveler arch.
The fractional sail plan is integrated with Hunter’s trademark cockpit traveler arch, and she has a proven deck
layout to maximize ease of handling under sail, especially for shorthanded crews. She is a large yacht that has
been thoughtfully engineered to allow single handed sailing when desired. The large balanced rudder and shaft
driven steering system deliver pinpoint maneuverability and fingertip control, even under full sail. This is a large
yacht that is easy to handle with confidence in every condition because never has a boat so large been so easy to
handle with confidence in every condition. With her easily handled sail configuration, she is perfect for a couple to
handle.
She has two-electric winches in the cockpit, one a Lewmar 42 self-tailing winch and the other a Lewmar 52 selftailing
winch. Her 10 clutches are all marked, placed smartly for easy operation, and in fantastic shape. Aeolus
has 2-Lewmar 54 self-tailing winches, 2 Lewmar 44 self-tailing winches, 1 Lewmar 34 self-tailing winch. Her double
spreader Seldon mast is controlled by a Seldon Rodkicker boom vang all supporting her in mast furling main sail.
The genoa and staysail are controlled by Seldon Furlex 300 s’ roller furlings. She boasts approximately 1,100
square feet of sail to help power her when the wind is right. Aeolus' cruising spinnaker on a roller furling, 135
genoa, staysail, and main. Her cockpit is equipped with two-folding steering wheels for ease of movement when not
underway.
Below-decks you will find she has 6' 9" of headroom, abundant natural light, and the highest quality woodwork and
a highly functional extremely spacious layout. With three private cabins, two heads and a separate shower, an
enormous salon with a large flatscreen and Bose Surround Sound, and a fully equipped navigation station/office
area. The galley is perfect with expansive counter space, a deep double sink, two refrigerators and two large
freezers, microwave oven with built in coffee pot, and a stovetop hood with fan over 3-burner propane stove and
oven. The master stateroom has a centerline queen, hanging lockers and drawers, and a large shower separate
from the head. The aft cabin has a built-in washer/dryer. She would be a great place to work and liveaboard.
She is powered by a low-hour, 12-kw Fischer Panda that provides enough power to keep her three air conditioners,
refrigerator, freezers, lighting, and other creature comforts operational. When not using the genny, you can rely on
the 3-house battery bank of 3-8D’s and a single group 32 starting battery. At the dock, you can plug the 50-amp
service from the bow or the stern as well as the city water tie in. If not tied into city water, she holds 200 gallons of
fresh water.
Her instrumentation array would make any captain elated. Her electronics Raymarine E120 MFD, Raymarine
Radar, Raymarine ST7002 Smart Pilot, Raymarine ST60+ Speed indicator, Raymarine ST60+ Wind indicator,
Raymarine ST60+ Depth sounder, and a Raymarine ST60+ Tridata Display. Aside from her appointed electronics,
her turbo charged, 110 horsepower Yanmar powerplant provides plenty of power to dock or get to where you need
to be when under sail is not ideal. Her feathering prop provides less drag increasing her cruising speed. She boasts
a 12-kw generator to keep you powered fully under sail, under power, or on the hook which is a Lewmar windlass.
Her windlass locker has a deck and anchor washdown to keep that anchor locker and deck ship-shape.
She has a full-boat winter cover to protect her during her layup period.
