Accommodations & Walkthru
Begining at the bow is a wonderful, well ventillated owner's suite featuring an island berth with 2 large fixed ports and 4 opening hatches. There is room for all of your "stuff" with shelves and cabinets on both hull sides plus a large hanging locker and two more drawers under the berth. There is plenty of elbow room to dress complete with a comfortable seat to read or pull on your shoes.
There is an Ensuite Head with a hatch for ventillation and light complete with a seperate shower stall, electric commode, vanity with medicine cabinet and corian counters.
Following aft is the Saloon with dining for 6 on starboard and a very clever convertible settee on port large enough for an adult to comfortably sleep. Shelves and cabinets line both hull sides and there is a custom liquor cabinet by the mast with additional storage under the starboard settee. The saloon is very light and airy with 2 large opening and 2 fixed hatches, 6 fixed ports plus a 12Volt Fan, as well as 6 ceiling & 2 reading lights.
The starboard side "L" Galley is large and efficient with double sink, seperate refrigerator and freezer, 3-burner stove/oven set in a granite counter. In addition, there is a builtin microwave. Storage is everywhere with well laid out cabinets and shelves including a custom cabinet across from the stove with a builtin trash can under sink.
The centerline, 4-step Companionway seperates the Galley and Nav Station and each aft cabin entrance.
The forward facing Nav Station is on port across from the Galley and just aft of the saloon with a large desk and it's comfortable bench seat. Storage is built in everywhere. The ship's electrical panel is built in to the hull side with plenty of room for the Nav Repeater, Radar & Chartplotter Display, VHF, SSB, Stereo - all within easy reach of the navigator.
Aft of the Nav Station is the Aft Crew/Day Head with a private entry from the port side aft cabin. A standard head, vanity w/pullout shower, medicine cabinet, corian counter is featured with an opening hatch.
There are twin, Private Aft Cabins in the stern with full sized double berths with great space to get dressed, large hanging locker plus a cabinet with shelf over to store clothes and equipment. Each cabin has 1 Fixed & 2 Opening Ports plus an Opening Hatch There are reading lights as well.
The Engine Room is easily accessed through openings in each aft cabin.
The Cockpit is large and comfortable for sailing, entertaining or simply relaxing with stern rail seats, a center-line dropleaf table forward of the dual steering stations and finished by a walk-thru transom built for easy dinghy access and swimming and diving.
The Beneteau 473 is safe and comfortable with lots of "eye" appeal.
