04Description

Summit is a well-equipped 2001 Catalina 36 MkII that has spent the past two seasons cruising the Bahamas. She combines the popular two-cabin layout and shallow-draft wing keel with an extensive cruising inventory, including solar, upgraded AGM batteries, air conditioning, radar, autopilot, an electric windlass, davits, a dinghy, and an outboard.

Recent upgrades include 360 watts of Renogy solar with Victron MPPT controller and SmartShunt (2026), two Lifeline 210Ah AGM house batteries (2025), and a 105Ah AGM starting battery (2025). A newer genoa complements the mainsail, with the original genoa retained as a spare.

The cockpit is protected by a dodger and bimini and features a folding teak table, cockpit cushions, Magma grill, and sugar-scoop transom. Davits carry a 10' Achilles inflatable with a Yamaha 4 HP outboard.

Below decks, Summit offers a spacious two-cabin interior with private forward and aft cabins, an enclosed head, a comfortable salon, a well-equipped galley, and 16,000 BTU marine air conditioning.

Summit is equipped with a 35 HP Universal M35BC diesel with approximately 1,670 hours and a PYI Max-Prop. Electronics include a 9" Garmin chartplotter and radar, Raymarine autopilot, wind instrumentation, and ST60 TriData.

With her 4'6" draft, recent electrical upgrades, extensive cruising equipment, and proven Bahamas cruising history, Summit is well suited for the ICW, Florida, the Bahamas, and coastal cruising.
