The new Southerly 540 is designed for easy handling and can be sailed by just two people. Innovative design, sleek styling, powerful sailing performance, superior build quality and luxurious accommodation are all hallmarks of this superb yacht. The tall powerful rig with swept-back spreaders keep the yacht sailing fast in all weather conditions with minimum effort. New for 2018, the 480 has been given a Discovery makeover to all the Southerly hallmarks: raised interior helm, raised saloon, great performance and all the features for safe and luxurious bluewater cruising. With its swing keel system, there is no place you can’t go with the Southerly 480. Sailing is effortless and comfortable with standard twin headsails, self-tacking jib, electric in-mast reefing and semi-balanced twin rudders. She has a generous aft cockpit and the option of a lowering bathing platform.
The new Southerly 435 center-cockpit, bluewater cruising yacht can be easily sailed by two people and boasts an impressive sail plan. The tall fractional rig with swept-back double spreaders combines a self-tacking furling jib and large mainsail with single-line reefing, while a modern, well-balanced hull form with a long heeled waterline and broad transom provides the Southerly 435 with thoroughbred performance and sea-kindly motion. The Southerly 435 conforms to EC category A.
The Southerly 430 combines a fast, modern hull for good performance, with the stability and comfort for bluewater cruising. The modern plumb stem increases waterline length and a broad transom maintains volume aft, for performance and interior space. Deck styling and a sociable cockpit layout with twin helm positions, has created one of the most comfortable and easy to sail bluewater cruising yachts available.
