Nowhere will  you find a better documented and cared for Island Packet 485.  Calliope has owners who know their boat....inside and out....and have meticulous records of everything done during their watch.

As a 2007, she is newer than most and has been outfitted for extensive cruising but, also to be a comfortable home dockside or at anchor.  Her layout, with two separate staterooms with their own head  and a third cabin configured as an office/laundry room is the perfect platform for those working from home.  Three reverse cycle heat and air units can be used at the dock or, at anchor, thanks to the MassPower 8KW Generator.

For the last six and a half years, she has been constantly upgraded and cared for by her owners who have loved their life on board and are now ready to let her go to new owners and on to even more adventure.

Calliope has upgraded beautifully bright Axiom Pro Multifunctional displays Completing her Newer Raymarine electronics, including Sonar, Evolution Autohelm with EV-1 and ACU-400 using the exhisting Mamba drive.  She has an SSB, VHF's and Transmiting and Receiving AIS.

On deck, her Muir Cheetah 2500 windlass was replaced in 2021, Bimini was new in 2021 with new glass for the dodger in 2019.  Her Kato arch added in 2017, houses dinghy davits, outboard engine lift and solar pannels.

Mechanically, Calliope was given maintenance required to allow worry free cruising.  Her 110 HP Yanmar received a signifcant overhaul in 2016 and 2020, including a new Turbo in 2020.  She had the conversion to a serpentine belt earlier and in 2019 got a new CV joint, Thrust Bearing and Damper Plate.

Many other 485's have not had this significant update and it is to be noted.

So many other things have been done during their ownership.......like the addition of a  Code 0 new in 2021, changing of all above water thru-hulls and the genset and main engine thru-hulls, cutlass bearing and stern tube replaced, 12" mattresses in both cabins, addition of a Spectra 12V watermaker and of a Splendide Washer/ Dryer.

Also, the owners are great record keepers and have a spread sheet showing what's original, what's been replaced and when and, what has a pdf or paper manual.  It shows part numbers, oil weights...you name it.

She is a proven passagemaker and has travelled but, I don't think you could find a 485 that will give you the care and background like Calliope.

Accommodations

The Island packet 485 is the largest boat designed by Island Packet.  She is built tough enough to take you around the world and designed with enough volume to carry everything you will need.

On deck, her wide walkways allow easy access fore and aft.  Her large deck area aft of the cockpit is perfect for lounging but also for providing a great platform for pulling the dinghy up on the arch.  Steps down from either side allow easy access to the stern platform.  Nice when bringing groceries back from shore.  Also is a lift up hatch in the middle leading down to a massive storage compartment or "garage" and two storage bins one both port and starboard.

The center cockpit design is a game changer for the interior.  It allows a beautiful, large, private owner's stateroom aft.  This stateroom has a private head and shower, hanging locker and cubbies as well as massive storage under the bed.  There is access to the storage locker under the aft deck from here, as well.

When decending the companionway steps you are immediately impressed with the size of the saloon and the brightness of it.  Expansive, but safe, windows allow so much light below!

The saloon features two facing settees, a large drop down table, smaller "cocktail table"  and two ottomans.  Both settee's can be used as sea berths and the starboard settee can convert to a double berth, as well.

To port of the companionway and one step down from the saloon is the forward facing navigation station.  This really is "command central" with high back swivil armchair, lots of room for instrumentation, wet locker and electrical panels.

One step down from the saloon to starboard is the galley.  There are double stainless sinks, solid surface counter tops, top opening freezer and refrigerator and a three burner stove with oven.  Good storage and counter top work areas make this a wonderful galley, and it is safe.

Forward of the saloon is a step down leading to the office/ laundry area to starboard, head to port with stall shower and guest cabin forward.

The office area is perfect if you will be working while on board and this is where the installation of the washer/dryer was intended, also.  It is concealed behind teak louvered doors when not in use.  The countertop that functions as a desk is also where you fold your clothes before putting them away.

The second stateroom is forward and has a centerline queen bed with storage beneath.  The forward head is accessed from this cabin or from the passage way forward.

Both heads feature Vacuflush toilets.

With this wonderful layout there is room to spare.  It is light and bright and stores all you will need for whatever adventure you have planned.
