Ticker is a Tripp 37, drawn by William Tripp III and built by Holby Marine. Only a handful of these boats were finished, and this one was completed in 1986. She is a masthead sloop with a fin keel and a spade rudder, built in fiberglass to be sailed hard and still lived aboard. She lies at Bayview Yacht Club in Detroit.

On deck she is a proper performance cruiser. Length is 37 feet, waterline 31 feet, and beam 12 feet. Draft is 6 feet 10 inches. Displacement is 12,034 pounds, with 5,400 pounds of ballast. The rig is the class masthead sloop, with a reported sail area of about 645 square feet.
