TIRED OF "PLAIN WHITE" - THIS IS CLASSIC DESIGN & PERFORMANCE!!  Teak Refinished Fall,'16

CALL FOR DETAILS.  If you like classic yachts, this is a must see!!!!

The Bristol 45.5 is a Classic Performance Cruiser with beautiful Ted Hood designed lines.  She can do everything from light wind bay sailing to heavy weather bluewater.  A comfortable and safe cruiser with a good turn of speed for club racing or just getting "there".  She has the privacy and elbow room for your crew and their stuff.  Plus, all the equipment you need for whatever and wherever your sailing dreams may take you.  She is a 2 owner boat.  The Seller has had her for 10 years.

Walkthru and Accommodations

The Bristol 45.5 has a large, comfortable and cleverly designed interior that will suit your needs whether competing with your best buddies or weekend gunkholing with family and friends.  The 45.5 can be divided into two separate quarters:  Cockpit Companionway to the aft Quarter Berths, private head and Nav Station, and a Deck Companionway dropping to the Saloon and Forward Berth which also has a private Head.  Or, left open when there is no need for that kind of privacy.

Otherwise, beginning at the bow, is a large and comfortable Vee Berth with plenty of room to get dressed. (Anchor Well access is at the very bow)  A private entry to the forward Head on port of the cabin's entrance gives a still greater feel of privacy.  There is lots of storage with a combination hanging locker, bureau and cabinets on both port and starboard sides complimented by cabinets running along both hull sides above the berth.  A  large opening hatch and 2 fixed ports plus a good many 12V lights give the forward berth good light and ventilation.

A larger Forward Head with doors to the Saloon and forward Berth follows aft with a commode, sink, shower and Corian counters plus a very nice large teak mirror.  An opening port and a dorade keeps air moving while florescent cabinet lights and an LED ceiling light complete the head's practicality,

The Saloon is uniquely comfortable with an "L" shaped convertible sofa/bed that pulls out to make a comfortable double berth on port and 2 very comfortable stuffed swivel chairs to starboard.  A pipe berth stored in the forward cabin fits over the swivel chairs for an additional berth. There are cabinets & shelves on both hull sides.  A large opening hatch, 5 fixed ports, a single dorade  plus lots of electric lights provide air and light.

Following aft on starboard is the Galley with double sink, 3 Burner Force 10 stove with Oven, a large Adler Barbour 12V Fridge and Microwave.  Across on starboard is a large freezer with Grunnert Cold Plates.  Both sections have storage over and under counters.  An opening port and hatch over the stove let cooking heat escape.  There is plenty of work area.

A separate Saloon Companionway is entered forward of Dodger which as discussed earlier provides a private entrance for owners and guests if necesarry

.A bulkhead at the aft end of the Galley opens to Quarter Berths on either side of the Cockpit Companionway.  The Navigation Station is just forward of the starboard berth and the private aft head is just forward of the port berth.

The Nav Station features a large desk.  The Electrical Panel is within easy reach on the hull side.

The Aft Head is comfortable in size and has a separate Shower Stall..  There is another hanging locker and bank of drawers just outside the head's entry.

The Engine Access is under the Companionway and oil checks and day day inspections are conducted through a door in the port berth.  There is also access from the starboard  side, and of course, removing the steps clears the front of the Perkins Diesel.

Three steps up the Companionway to the Cockpit which is large and long enough for sailing, entertaining and napping.  It is protected by a reinforced bimini and a dodger with an aft handrail plus a Connecting Panel.  There is a beautiful teak grate sole and a teak drinkholder and table hang on the binnacle.  The lazerettes are large and there are two teak trimmed coaming boxes for your other stuff.  An opening in the stern pulpit with a fold down swim ladder make getting on and off the stern easy.

Daring is a classic, well designed yacht that will always be appreciated.
