Skip Madden

Skip is the managing broker of S&J Yachts’ Lower Chesapeake Bay office in Deltaville, VA. Skip is a life-long sailor experienced in around-the-buoys small-boat racing as well as extensive cruising. Raised on Boston Harbor, Skip raced and cruised throughout the Northeast as a young man. A 10-year business stint in Chicago exposed him to Lake Michigan racing; in later years he single-handed most of the California coast on his Pearson Vanguard. Chartering trips have taken him to Tonga, the Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Leeward Islands. With previous careers in securities sales and executive recruiting, Skip has a deeply ingrained client-service orientation. That attitude, coupled with his broad knowledge of boats, should afford you a pleasant and rewarding experience.
